Today is Melina's 9 month birthday! Although she still doesn't have any teeth, Melina has moved on to finger foods such as blueberries, banana and sweet potato pieces and Cheerios (tofu is next). Melina definitely looks like a well fed baby with all her baby fat and chubby cheeks. She continues to work on her crawling but hasn't figured out how to untagle her legs when shifting her weight to her arms from a sitting position. Just like the teeth, we're fine with her not crawling yet since that will make us more busy. But we do need to baby proof the house soon.
Melina is very vocal about her likes (giggles, squealing...) and dislikes (screaming, crying...) so I thought I'd share those with you.
What Melina Likes:
- swinging
- spoons (she can suck on one for a long time, constantly going back and forth between one end and the other) and cups
- zippers, tags and buttons (the bigger the better)
- being upside down
- bouncing on your lap
- Haley
- pretty much any type of fruit and orange vegetables
- bath time
- being carried by Dave in the front carrier
- her binkie for sleeping
- taking her socks off to suck on them
What Melina Doesn't Like:
- having her nails filed or nose wiped
- green vegetables (with the right ratio, we can usually hide them in sweet potatoes)
- her 3rd nap
