Massage, German Bread and Cupcakes

In January, we joined the Jewish Community Center ("the J"), which is only a 15 minute walk from our house and has a pool, gym, racquetball courts etc. We got coupons for 3 free spa services at the J so I got my first massage on Saturday. It was amazing!
Dave picked me up afterwards and we headed to East Portland, where we went to a German bakery. We got the Jaegerbrot, which is not an authentic name but the bread tastes great. I've always wondered about the big wholes in many German breads - maybe I'll figure it out sometime. After going to a park with Haley (she was only interested in the squirrels), we had lunch at Vita Cafe. We had been there before and our second visit confirmed our plan to eat ourselves through their menu. To round off our culinary exploration, we stopped by Cupcake Jones to get some dessert. I allow myself to eat sweets on the weekends so that was a nice treat.
