Fall Walks

Fall is undeniably here! There are a lot of evergreens in Portland but we still have some nice fall color. I really enjoy walking with Melina and Haley everyday, especially since we've had some pretty nice weather so far. It's amazing how therapeutic walking is: getting out of the house, breathing fresh air, listening to NPR or some good music...
Yesterday, we went on an outing to our old neighborhood. While Dave worked out at the J, we three girls went for a walk in Gabriel Park (the park right next to our old house) - that's where I took these pictures. Melina has to get all bundled up for her walks. I love this hat on her - she looks like a race car driver from the 1920s.
I'm itching to go back to the gym for a workout or to use the steam room and hot tub but the J is now a 20-minute drive away (it was a 10-minute walk from our old house). So I do my daily core exercises at home plus my walks and Dave goes to the gym every now and then. Our membership expires in January and we'll have to find a gym that's closer to us. It's too bad because we like the J.
