Haley, Leroy, and Melina

One of our concerns with introducing Melina to the house was how Leroy and Haley would react. So far, they are both doing great. Leroy is a typical cat and avoids the small strange person whenever he can. When he wants to be the same place that she is (like my lap), he generally gives her a couple of sniffs and then cedes the territory to her.


Haley is much more curious and is already acting like a protector. She likes to smell Melina and would give her a lick if Nike and I didn't intercede. She seems very careful around her and I think she has accepted her to our 'pack'. Of course Nike and I make sure to keep Melina secure if we are not in the room with Haley. Even loving dogs can be unintentionally dangerous to small infants, so we'll stay careful.
