Non-Native Speakers

We have quite a few international students in our program whose native language is not English. Sometimes, their use of English can really put a smile on your face. Here are some highlights:
In an email to me: "Dear Professor Nike..."
From an observation report: "There were no special sexual seating groups such as female and male group"
From a questionnaire handed out on the first day of class; the question was In class, I'd like to be called ... The student wrote "sometimes"

How I miss teaching international students! Those little language mistakes could really make my day.
