Every February (from what I've been told), Oregon gets a week or two of gorgeous sunny weather in the middle of the rain-filled winter. We are in that sunny time now. Today we strapped Melina to my chest and headed for a park I saw (Lost Park) on google maps that is about a mile or so away. Haley was of course over-excited but we had a nice little hike. Melina hasn't seen the sun much since she was born. She sneezes when the sun hits her face and I loaned her my baseball cap for the walk home so she wouldn't get sunburned. With the normal Fall/Winter weather in Portland, we hadn't even thought of buying sunscreen yet.
It was great to see the sun, and we have another few days of it ahead. The rains return on Wednesday.
