Trip to Germany

Melina and I left for Germany on Saturday. Our first flight was from Portland to Amsterdam and took 9 hours. Luckily, I had an empty seat next to me so we could put Melina's car seat there (MUCH better than having her on my lap for 9 hours!).

She was a real trooper on the trip: she slept quite a bit on the flight (she even slept through the landing) and didn't mind it too much when I had to hand her off briefly to strangers when I needed 2 hands to take care of something. So the trip went pretty smoothly except for the fact that our suitcases didn't make it to Stuttgart until a day later.

Melina has already adjusted pretty well to the time difference and the new surroundings. The first night was a bit difficult but she slept 11 hours straight last night, just like at home. I'm sure she'll soon get more comfortable around my mom and sister too. Right now, she's pretty clingy but that's understandable.
