Hot, hot, hot

The Pacific Northwest has been experiencing an extreme heat wave in the last couple of days. Yesterday, we hit 106 degrees in Portland! Many residential buildings in this area don't have AC so people are trying to stay cool by hanging out in malls, libraries, restaurants etc. Luckily, we have AC and it's working hard. In the afternoon, it's been running non-stop but it still can't lower the temperature below 82 degrees. Better than nothing, I guess.
Yesterday, I had to have a root canal. Monday night, I started getting a severe toothache. I was miserable, especially because the pain meds wore off too quickly and didn't work 100% to begin with. The procedure itself was a breeze - I almost fell asleep in the chair because I was so nice and numb and was really sleep deprived. Nothing like the root canal I had over 20 years ago.
Still no news on the house. We are TOTALLY FRUSTRATED! Looks like the title company submitted an incomplete application to the IRS to remove the lien, which means the process started all over again when the missing document was submitted. We could be looking at another waiting period of 6-8 weeks in total limbo. What a nightmare!

I am so sorry about the house! And the root canal, although that sounds like it went as well as can be expected. Good luck in the heat!
