The shopping for baby gear continues unabated here in the great PNW, but Nike and I are becoming more and more confused about strollers. We've made one purchase from Craigslist; a "Snap-n-Go" stroller for our infant car seat. This is a pretty lightweight frame that the car seat snaps into for an instant car (or house) to stroller experience. That should be fine for short neighborhood strolls for the first 6 months or so.
After that we need a 'full featured' stroller for trips to the mall, the park, etc. Places where you may want to take a lot of gear with you. This stroller needs to be useful until the little one is ready to walk everywhere she goes. We're debating between a more standard type model with 4 (actually 6) wheels that has lots of storage and accepts up to 50 lbs, and the cooler 3-wheel models with big air-filled tires (for rough terrain), which can also be used for jogging if you get the right one. We've been going back and forth for weeks.
The funny thing is that now every time we go out we find ourselves looking at strollers of people we see and even stopping them to ask their opinion. Today we met an old friend of Nike's (now teaching at Oregon State) downtown at a BBQ/beer festival and then went to IKEA for some shopping. Lots of stroller watching and commenting.... "there's the Quattro"... "I think that's a Bob jogging stroller", etc. etc. Pretty amusing, to me anyway.

Good luck on the stroller decision!
Looks like you are doing your research well. We just went to the store and picked one out on the spot.
Hope Nike feels well again with her toothache.
