Farmers Market
We're back to rainy and cold weather so I have to remind myself that there are signs that it is indeed spring. One sign is the fact that the farmers market started again. While the Hillsdale Farmers Market is year-round (though on a bi-weekly basis during the winter), the downtown one just resumed. On Saturday, Annabelle and I went and I bought asparagus, yellowfoot mushrooms, baguette and danishes (the latter two very yummy but not necessarily signs of spring). I was hoping to get some rhubarb too but only one stand had some, expensive too, so I'm thinking it's still too early for rhubarb. Dave made a very delicious mushroom soup with the yellowfoot mushrooms and we had the asparagus yesterday with salmon. I LOVE having a husband who likes to cook, and is good at it. One of Dave's many wonderful qualities...
