Round I

Yesterday, we looked at a few houses with our realtor. Not surprisingly, we haven't found our dream house yet but it was very helpful to see what is offered in our price range when you compare the age and location of houses. One important thing for us to consider is property taxes. In Multnomah County, they were around $6,000 for the houses we looked at (yikes!). If we go a bit farther out into Washington County, taxes are somewhat lower. Unfortunately, property taxes go up significantly every year. We have a longer tour planned for Sunday.
