It's football season in Tennessee but we're now in Duck (Univ of Oregon) and Beaver (Oregon State) Country, three time zones away. The first UT game wasn't televised here but we streamed the audio online. Last week's game was on TV and tomorrow's game will be too, but who wants to watch UT get their *** kicked!? Maybe it's better that we can't watch all the games... Then again, the ones that are not televised here might just be the ones where we can actually pull off a win.
Portland doesn't have a UT alumni club but the Alumni Office organized an event this summer to maybe get something started. There weren't many of us (maybe 10) but we plan to get together every now and then. Yesterday, we met with some people from the Florida Alumni Club for a bowling match. Their club is huge: around 100 people showed up for the season's first watch party. The bowling was fun (I only cheered) and Dave was the best player for the Vols: GO DAVE! We still didn't win but had a good time.
