On Saturday morning, I met Annabelle (French), Lindsey (Sociology) and Chia Yin (History) downtown to check out the downtown farmers' market on the PSU campus. It's quite a bit bigger than the Hilldale farmers' market in our neighborhood. It's absolute heaven for anybody who likes to cook/eat and I had to restrain myself from buying too much. My bounty: baguette, kale, potatoes, poblano peppers and savoy cabbage. They also had beautiful flowers. And we saw a guy on a unicycle playing bag pipes! It was still pretty chilly and the area was shady so we had to warm up with some hot tea/coffee afterwards. It's been in the high 30/low 40s in the mornings, which is over 10 degrees below the average for this time of year - that's somewhat comforting.

Just in case you were wondering how Portland will be voting in November...

The afternoon was nice and sunny so Dave and I headed to the dog park with Haley and then to the Lucky Lab for a beer.
