The Fruit Loop

Nike and I drove the "Fruit Loop" today, which is a tour of a large orchard region just north of Mt. Hood. Along the loop are fruit stands, pick-your-own-fruit orchards, and wineries. We drove from Portland into the beautiful Columbia River Gorge to Hood River, OR and then south toward Mt. Hood.

We found an organic orchard where we got some pears, prune plums and apples, and then headed back to Hood River to the Full Sail Brewery for a beer. Nike plans to make a traditional German cake with the prune plumes. A nice day in the PNW, so we are taking advantage before the rains move in.
