Haley and Nike need a lot of gear for their morning walk. It was cold, dark, and foggy this morning so Nike was bundled up. Haley's job is to carry her backpack on the walk. This idea came from "The Dog Whisperer", who says that high-energy dogs need a job in order to burn energy and to feel like they are performing a service.
Haley shows off her Gentle Leader, which has done a fantastic job at preventing her from pulling on the leash and lunging at other dogs. We should have invested in this years ago!

It was RELATIVELY cold, I'd say. So far, we haven't had any temperatures below freezing and it was 34 degrees that morning. But the humidity is usually very high in the morning (over 90%), hence the fog, which also makes it feel yucky outside. But I talked to Claudia in Edmonton, Canada last night, where it's been 15 below already. So now complaints about the weather from Portland. We might get snow flurries this weekend.
It's the nasskalt. Ick.
