One of the difficult things about moving is food. In the past weeks, we've been trying to empty out our freezer, fridge and pantry. Makes for some creative meal planning and we haven't had to eat anything weird.
The scene last night:
"Hey, we still have bananas in the freezer that we wanted to use for smoothies. But we have already packed the blender. So how about banana bread? We already have the oven on for the pizza - perfect. But we have no eggs. Let's look for a vegan recipe online. Shoot, I already packed the pan. Wait: there's an old pan that I wanted to give away. I think I put it in this box. Yes!"
We got creative and were able to finish off the following:
- bananas
- butter
- brown sugar
- vanilla extract
- dates
- macademia nuts
- slivered almonds
And it tastes great!
